Growing GinaK Poinsettias in my Crafty Garden

It’s growing close to that time of year, and I have been feeling the Holiday Crafting feelings!

I started a new crafty “harvest” by using the Garden Method to create a batch of beautiful Poinsettias made from a GinaK stamp set. My set up to use stencils to color in batches is fairly simple. I have a handmade stencil station that uses a sticky mat and a rotating base, and I line up two stamped images at a time to stencil.

I have my colors all picked out and one layer at a time, I color both images with my first color. I also masked off areas that were in danger of over-coloring.

For this one. I did directional blending and made the tips of the petals darker than the center.

I repeated the process for my other pre-stamped images and ended up with a beautiful pile of poinsettas that are ready to be the focal point of Christmas cards!

I will add these finished elements to my crafty garden and use the Garden Method of Papercrafting to finish a large harvest of holiday cards once I am done preparing all of my element harvests.
