Did you know that the secret to faster, more beautiful layered die cuts might already be sitting in your cardstock stash? In my latest video, I am sharing one of my favorite time-saving tricks for working with the Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Butterfly Ranunculus Layering Die Set.
The tip is simple but it is one of those things that completely changes how you approach batch creating cards: reach for pre-colored cardstock. When you use cardstock in colors that already coordinate with your ink family — like Misty Sage with the Jade Dreams inks or Sandy Blush with Woodland Escape — you get that gorgeous, layered, blended look without spending a ton of time blending multiple layers. The die cuts look like you spent time ink blending each layer individually, but you did it in a fraction of the time.
This is one of those techniques I wish someone had told me about years ago. If you have ever sat down to make a batch of layered die cut flowers and found yourself spending most of your time at the ink blending station, this video is going to be a game changer for you.
