I’ve been sitting with this card for a bit because I just love everything about it, and I want you to love it too. It’s one of those projects where every single layer is doing something beautiful, and somehow they all work together without adding any bulk. Flat enough to mail. Pretty enough to frame. That’s the dream, right?

The Star of the Show: Petal Pop Stencil

I received the Altenew Petal Pop Stencil as part of my Ambassador goodies, and I am completely obsessed. For this card, I colored through it with colored pencils for that soft, blended, almost dreamy look, but this stencil is incredibly versatile. Ink blending, markers, watercolor paint… honestly, try anything and it delivers. It’s one of those tools that just works no matter what medium you’re in the mood for.

The Arch That Builds All the Depth

The layered arch structure is the Altenew Nesting Arches Die Set, and it’s doing a lot of heavy lifting here in the best way. I stacked the layers to build real dimension right on the card front and still, the whole thing folds flat. These dies are so satisfying to work with.

That Shimmer, Though

See that sparkle peeking through? That’s Altenew Amethyst Shimmer Relief Paste applied on acetate. The texture and shimmer in person are one of those details that just catch the light and keep you looking. It’s subtle and stunning at the same time.

The Chunky HELLO

The bold HELLO is cut from vellum using the Altenew Outlined Hello Die, then colored with alcohol markers. Coloring vellum with alcohol markers gives it this gorgeous translucent, inky color while keeping that soft, glowy vellum look underneath. I love this technique so much. It’s so simple and so effective.
